In addition to the common surgeries, there is a range of complementary gender-affirming surgeries. In this article, some of these will be listed, but this may not be a full list, and other types of surgeries exist as well.

Liposuction and Fat Injection

Liposuction (fat removal) can be performed at various locations in the body. The fat that is suctioned can then be injected into other areas of the body. For example:

• Liposuction for body masculinization – liposuction from the hip and thigh areas.
• Buttock lift by fat injection (BBL) – fat is suctioned from the hips and abdomen and injected into the buttocks.

Silicone Implants

Silicone implants can be implanted in various places in the body for different purposes, such as:

• Buttock lift using silicone implants
• Silicone ab implants
• Shoulder widening – silicone implants placed in the shoulders that create a wider shoulder appearance

Voice Masculinization Surgery

Voice masculinization surgery is performed to change the voice in cases where masculinization voice training does not provide the desired results.

The surgery includes the removal of tissue from the voice box (throat). This procedure relaxes the vocal cords and thus lowers the pitch they produce. The surgery is performed near the thyroid and leaves a scar on the throat. The procedure is short, and in most cases, you will be released from the hospital on the same day or the next morning.

Recovery should be accompanied by a speech therapist, who can help you produce the best results from the surgery, protect your voice health, and learn how to utilize your changed voice.

Voice masculinization surgery is not performed in Israel, it can be done in other countries.

Height Surgeries

Surgeries for adding up to 10cm in height by lengthening the limbs of the patient. These are very difficult surgeries to undergo and are relatively new.
