Trans Wiki is the largest, most up-to-date, and comprehensive database for the Israeli trans community. The database includes information on a variety of topics related to the trans community, and is accessible in local languages.
The database was created through the initiative of community members who saw the need, worked together, and invested time and energy in creating the database with the help of Trans Center staff. In 2023 the project gained momentum, led by the Gila Project for Trans Empowerment and Maavarim for the Trans Spectrum organizations, and with participation of volunteers from within the community and outside of it.
The work at Gila Project was part of a project funded by the European Union. The work at Maavarim for the Trans Spectrum was part of the national program to advance the transgender community.
Nowadays, the database is managed by Maavarim’s professional team, with the help of volunteers. The database was launched in 2024.
The Trans Wiki platform is maintained by T Hub Initiative, a California-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
